A STILL SMALL VOICE
is published as a correspondence program because its material is to be worked with and not just read. It is different from a book in content, form and purpose. Each lesson is a unit with practical information to empower one's spiritual life and deepen one's relationship with G-d. The language is clear and simple but do not be deceived. There are multi-layers of depth and mystery which take time and effort to unravel. Yet it is often difficult to extract the full implications of a text when studying alone.

A learning partner or study group generates dialogue and active involvement with the teachings. Sparks fly as new insights emerge from the dynamic tension of different perspectives coming together. Interactive learning can unlock secrets and implications that could not otherwise be discovered.

This is the traditional method of Jewish study. A talmudic scholar cries out dramatically, "Give me a study partner or give me death." His frustration is unbearable for he cannot satisfy his passion for depth without the dialogue that a text requires to unlock its mysteries. He is trapped inside his own visual field. When people bounce ideas off each other, they enter into a dialectic which generates insights beyond their own independent contributions.
